Alliance Membership

Become an EWIT Alliance Member and support our efforts in creating a more diverse and inclusive workforce in construction, manufacturing and renewable energy.

By becoming an Alliance Member of EWIT you will enable our programs and efforts to expand all over Australia. The support and generosity of our Alliance Members assists with funding or subsidising EWIT’s Tool Skills Days, government submissions, involvement at Expos and Conferences, Talent Attraction Programs, and School Programs all over the country to demonstrate that a skilled trade can be a fantastic career opportunity for women and girls.

Alliance Membership also supports our efforts to deliver the 30 by 30 message to the wider industry and public. At a time when headlines about manufacturing, construction and renewable energy are all about shortages and falling behind, EWIT Alliance Members demonstrate they are doing all they can to address the issue by creating opportunities for women. EWIT Alliance Members are at the forefront of crucial positive change that is building a thriving future for the Australian trades industry.

Benefits of Alliance Membership

Apart from supporting the great and worthwhile work that EWIT is doing to increase the diversity of the skilled trade workforce and introducing women and gender-diverse people to the opportunities in skilled trade careers, our Alliance Members also receive the following:

Programs

EWIT runs a wide range of development programs and pathways to employment, further education and apprenticeships. Some of these programs are funded in part by organisations that will benefit from recruitment opportunities and some are run by EWIT without direct financial support. Programs like these are made possible through the funding and support of EWIT’s Alliance Members.

Being an Alliance Member also provides the opportunity to promote EWIT programs through your own channels, creating pipelines into suitable activities for candidates and the chance to potentially provide experts and contributors who can participate on the day. This further provides an opportunity for Alliance Member companies to promote your involvement to staff as well as providing great volunteering opportunities within the company.

Promotion of your status as an Alliance Member

Visible promotion of the partnership between EWIT and your organisation, demonstrating your commitment to diversity, women’s inclusion in skilled trades and all of the programs EWIT undertakes. This includes:

  • Use of the EWIT Alliance Membership logo on your website, promotional materials, email signatures etc – indicating that you are a leading supporter of female tradies, EWIT and the programs we run.
  • Your company logo on our Alliance Members webpage with a link to your website
  • An announcement of your partnership to the EWIT community – coordinated with the company’s social media or client communications.
  • Letter of support: an official letter of support from EWIT indicating your commitment to assisting women and non-binary people to find fulfilling careers in skilled trades. This letter can be submitted with proposals, grants and tenders as supporting evidence of your positive contributions to supporting diversity in the industry and meeting regulated requirements.

Public and Media Relations

The work that Alliance Members are supporting is promoted though EWIT’s communication channels, including social media, email campaigns, media and government relations and partnership deals, and in particular, via the campaigns that promote and support it promotes and supports the vision of 30 by 30 – 30% female representation in skilled trades by 2030. All of EWIT’s communications and public relations efforts also promote the backing provided by its Alliance Members who are forward-thinking organisations supporting career opportunities for women.

In addition, we are often asked to find subjects for media interviews on a wide range of topics concerning the construction and manufacturing industries or examples of women in trades.  EWIT will only source these contacts from our Alliance Member companies.

Government Relations

EWIT regularly responds to calls for submissions on public policy that directly affects the construction, manufacturing and renewable energy industries. This is further enabled by the generous support and encouragement of our Alliance Members. EWIT makes these submissions on behalf of its members, as a representative of all organisations that support higher levels of female representation in skilled trades.

Communications

EWIT will provide our Alliance Members with quarterly updates on all of our activities – providing information on what programs Alliance Members have supported, along with images and other collateral so that member organisations may  promote their support of EWIT throughout their stakeholder audiences.

Other Benefits

EWIT Alliance Members also receive a 10% discount on all EWIT Merchandise.
