Program Goals

In collaboration with industry leaders, we have designed an innovative program to open up the pathways for Australian’s to enter apprenticeships and address the issues of:

National Skill Shortage:

Australia is facing a skills shortage of tradespeople, with a severe under-representation of women

Falling Apprenticeships:

Currently apprentice commencements is at the lowest level since the late- 1990s

Financial Security:

COVID-19 has disproportionately effected women in terms of job loss and reduced income

Program Structure

A virtual learning platform consisting of pre-recorded content as well as live virtual days. The program will consist of watching pre-recorded videos on a variety of trades, interviews with experienced professionals in their fields, positive psychology, human skills, and mindset tools to support to thrive along your journey in skilled trades.

Tool Skills Day

To build your confidence with handling tools needed to work within the trades. These sessions are also planned to support you to overcome self-doubt in your ability to pursue a career within one of these trades and inspire you to see the opportunities within trades.

At the end of the day, if you are interested in exploring a career within trades, you can either enroll in the two weeks ‘Experience trades’ or straight into a Pre-Apprenticeship program.
